It all started about 5 years before I was born, when a little guy died in a farming accident. Fast forward 25 years and that family became very near and dear to my heart. Fast forward another 10 years and now I have my own little guys. We have a concrete construction company and the equipment and home base yard is our home yard.. which is about a 30 second walk from the house.. even with 18" legs. And all I can think about is that little guy that just wasn't seen.

The crew always has high-vis shirts on, so I looked to find something in a toddler size the same colour because everyone is already geared to associate that colour with a person. And all I could find was... nothing.

I let it sit for a while because I don't need another thing to do but every day as soon as anyone was in the yard.. the house was missing a little person. And I was pretty sure I wasn't the only mom with this issue. So I decided to at least see how much it would cost.

After humming and hawing for a while, the thought came to me one day that if something did happen and money would fix it, I would spend every cent I had, borrow every cent I could and get every loan I could find. And so I jumped in.

Obviously, shirts don't replace the need to teach our kids about farm safety and equipment and how to be safe in general. But if all these shirts do is save one kid's life, it was all worth it.
